The Senior Business Analyst is part of a team which develops software and platform projects to support internal business owners and meets customers’ requirements. Will create and/or update project deliverables, artifacts and technical specifications in accordance with customer requirements. Will identify potential issues as they arise and bring solutions to the team to ensure team success.
Scope & Requirements: Jointlydetermine scope and requirements for each project with internal and externalcustomers and stakeholders. Facilitate analysis workshops, and capturedocumentation for UI design mockups, process diagrams, data definitions andmappings, user access and permissions, reporting, integrations, etc. Requirements artifacts are authored with Word, Excel, and Visio, and areconverted into Agile user stories. Agile user stories must followstandard Agile practice and include descriptions, acceptance criteria, storypoints, resource assignments, etc.
Project Plan: Determine accurate work estimates, resource assignments, tasks, deliverables, milestones, and delivery dates for each project. Manage the delivery schedule and budget for each project to ensure timelines are met.
Project Structure Meetings: Lead cross-functional sprint teams to complete projects following the Agile methodology. Ability to work within a sprint structure, and lead standard sprint meetings, including backlog grooming, daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint deployments, showcases, and retrospectives. Understand completed, current, and upcoming tasks for each project on a daily basis.
Quality Assurance: Track and ensure thatdeveloped solutions fully advance through each stage of application testing, asrequired by the SDLC process (i.e. unit, QA, compatibility, security,UAT). Facilitate UAT and customer/stakeholder sign-off. Act as a point of acceptance to ensure solutions deliver fully functioning,production-ready code, and with no ‘high’ or ‘showstopper’ issues.
Project Management, Expectation Management,and Change Management: Direct and manage development for small to largescale projects and ongoing enhancement requests. Effectively managecustomer and stakeholder expectations, while managing changes to scope andtimelines as they occur. Facilitate written sign-off of original scope,all changes, and their impacts. Raise scope change requests for allcustomers and stakeholders. Manage scope and priorities to ensurecommitments are achieved within agreed upon schedule, cost, and qualitycriteria. Manage and document project risks, issues, dependencies,mitigations, and provide acceptable alternatives. Work with customers toplan pilots, training, and rollouts, and ensure high customer satisfactionthroughout each project. Oversee, manage, and communicate the status of all projects on a regular basis.
Domain Knowledge and Process Improvement: Identify and present process improvements for requirements gathering and documentation of requirements. Gain a thorough understanding of document design, development, and processing for print and electronic solutions. Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on customer applications.
Mentorship: Mentor, coach, review, and provide support to other project managers.
Strategic Enterprise Planning: Work with the VP of Tech and others in company leadership to plan and drive several enterprise initiatives involving business and digital transformation.
Other Duties: Provide support as needed to other team members or functional areas. Performs other related duties as assigned and/or required
Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT is preferred, or comparable professional experience.
PMP or Agile/SCRUM certifications are preferred.
At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Technical Project Analyst, or Project Manager in a SaaS application environment.
Experience working on transactional print and electronic projects.
In depth knowledge of data modelling and mapping techniques.
Expert in management and communication Tools including MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project, and other project tracking tools
Working knowledge and execution of Document Development Life Cycle proces
Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience mapping and analyzing data files and extracts.
In-depth knowledge of web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), ETL, data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) concepts, Master Data Management, Metadata Management and Data quality Management.
Experience in analyzing, designing and deploying event driven data management processes.
Solid understanding of computing environment, systems engineering concepts, architectural framework diagrams, QA testing, building test plans, test cases, scripts, UAT, systems integration with multiple sources including outside vendors.
Experience in performing system analyses on software programs, applications, and web services.
Highly organized and task driven while managing multiplestreams in a fast-paced environment.
Superior relationship building and interpersonal skills.
