Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is not limited to coding; it involves creating software that seamlessly integrates with our clients' needs while pushing the boundaries of technology. The successful candidate will work with C#, OpenText Exstream, and SQL databases to build custom applications that enhance functionalities such as document generation and data flow optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software design, document development, database design, data analysis, and testing.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience, with strong preference for expertise in OpenText Exstream.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C# or VB.NET.
- Extensive experience in SQL Server database design and multi-tier system architecture.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with sorting software (e.g., SortSol).
- Familiarity with postal software such as AccuZip or BCC.
- Experience writing batch jobs for system automation and maintenance.
Skills and Knowledge
- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand technical processes thoroughly, from requirement gathering to programming and implementation. Capable of assessing and resolving complex issues.
- Problem Solving: Proven aptitude for identifying and efficiently resolving problems by gathering and analyzing information to develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Collaboration and Independence: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and confidently contribute new ideas.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various data formats, including JSON, XML, PDF, and flat delimited or multi-record files.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of document design and the ability to create, refine, and maintain templates for data-driven applications.
- Familiarity with user permissions management to ensure secure and efficient access control within the system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications utilizing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Leverage advanced technologies such as Docker, Spring, and MySQL for efficient application development.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement front-end solutions.
- Ensure effective database design and management using SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Analyze data and implement software development best practices.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to various stakeholders.
Work Environment Remote work available after 90 day training period.
